Connecting to Africa

Run To End Poverty is not your average running team – with every stride, our runners and supporters are helping to create opportunity in communities across Africa! Check out these Engineers Without Borders programs that are supported by Run To End Poverty this year. Click each heading to learn more!

Agricultural Value Chains

Program Countries: Zambia and Ghana
R2EP Cities: Calgary, Ottawa, Saskatoon

Engineers Without Borders’ Agriculture Value Chains team is working in Ghana and Zambia to help increase the profitability of small-scale farmers. Team members work with organisations in Africa who work to facilitate stronger links between the private sector and rural farmers, to help increase access to suppliers of needed farming inputs like seeds or fertilizers. EWB helps bridge the gap between small-businesses and farmers, so both can better succeed.

Water and Sanitation

Program Country: Malawi
R2EP Cities: Winnipeg, Vancouver

Engineers Without Borders’ Water and Sanitation team is working in Malawi to increase access to clean water and improved sanitation practices.
