Get active and join a group of compassionate runners on October 16th 2011 as we take on the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon / Half Marathon / 5k! Taking strides together, we can help to eliminate extreme poverty in Africa.
This year, R2EP Toronto is running in support of Engineers Without Borders’ Governance and Rural Infrastructure (GARI) initiative in Ghana!
Planning for the future in Ghana’s rural communities: Engineers Without Borders’ volunteers have been working with local government partners to improve their data and infrastructure planning capabilities, better meeting the water, road, education and healthcare needs of rural communities in Ghana. As a Toronto runner, you will be directly supporting the highly impactful and successful GARI initiative. By working with partner organizations and volunteers from Engineers Without Borders, GARI has already positively affected the lives of over 1200 Ghanaians.LEARN MORE
